My professional life has followed a fairly simple pattern: I see something new, become curious about what it can do, and then try to build something useful with it.
A life between Sweden and Thailand
I am Swedish, and Thailand has been part of my life since 1986. By the 1990s I was working around media and the emerging internet in Scandinavia, including projects connected with Torget.se and TekeGuide Scandinavia.
Those early years shaped how I still think about digital products: technology matters, but what matters more is whether people actually find a reason to return.
ThaiVisa.com
I started ThaiVisa.com as a practical English-language resource for foreigners trying to understand visas, regulations and life in Thailand. What began as a single information page grew into a forum, a news operation and a large online community.
Building an expat media platform
ThaiVisa grew through user contributions, volunteer moderators, newsletters, breaking news, search traffic and online advertising. The community became especially important during major events when people wanted fast, practical information from others on the ground.
BEC-Tero / Channel 3
I worked as CTO / Online Director with BEC-Tero Entertainment / Channel 3 in Bangkok. My work connected digital products, e-learning and media, including BEC-Tero Education and the AndrewBiggs.com English-learning project.
ThaiVisa became ASEAN NOW
The brand evolved into ASEAN NOW, reflecting a broader regional direction while retaining the long-running Thailand community.
ASEAN NOW joined The Thaiger
The Thaiger acquired ASEAN NOW's digital assets from Choice Group Asia. At the time I was publicly identified as ASEAN NOW's COO and spoke about the next phase of the platform.
Hua Hin, AI and practical digital work
I am based in Hua Hin and continue to work with websites, SEO, online publishing, digital marketing, local communities and practical uses of AI. I remain interested in the same basic question that drew me to the internet in the first place: what can this technology make possible?
